Do you know the difference? Chemical vs Physical Sunscreen

SunScreen helps fight against the sun’s deadly rays, and it should be worn daily. If you are putting a product on your skin daily make sure that the products aren’t harmful for your skin as well. We can’t protect our skin from the sun, just to cause damage with deadly products.

Take A Peek

Today we are discussing the different between chemical and physical sunscreens.

Did you know there is are two different types of sun protection you are applying to your skin?

There is Physical & Chemical Sunscreens. Both types of sunscreen have benefits. I will let you know my opinion on which one I personally prefer once I provide you with the information to let you decide which one works best for you. You can see in the images posted below how each type is beneficial and both have pros and cons.

Physical sunscreens tend to be:

Less irritating and a better fit for sensitive skin.

More moisturizing, which can feel heavy on the skin, but this is dependent on the brand you purchase. Many brands now have creating facial sunscreen to feel light weight!

Chemical sunscreens are a better option if you:

Are swimming and need a water-resistant formulation. Just make sure the formulation is marine safe!

Are out playing sports or sweat a lot during the day.

Want a sunscreen that absorbs quickly into the skin.

MY personal favorite sunscreen is a physical sunscreen. I prefer something that blocks the UV rays instead of absorbing them. My favorite line is the Sorella Apothecary SPFS. During the summer I wear either the Oil Free or Hydrating to protect my skin; during the winter months I like to wear the Hydrating SPF It gives me sun protection and hydrates my dry skin! Talk about a win, win!
