My Most Asked Question From Pregnant Women
One of my most common questions at Rejuvenate is.. can I get a facial while pregnant? The answer is yes!
You can absolutely get facial treatments while pregnant, and here at Rejuvenate we also have a perfect table for you that can adjust the upper body and the lower body so you can be slightly seated and/or elevated during your facial treatments. We know it is hard to lie on your back for so long, especially those of you who are in your third trimester
Now, the thing with getting facials while pregnant it is suggested to not use certain ingredients, but we are well educated on what ingredients you can and cannot use on pregnant clients.
Let's talk about what items you should avoid during pregnancy when it comes to skin care and essential oils.
Number one, this has been drilled into my brain for years now: peppermint oil, cinnamon bark, Wintergreen, myrrh, and salicylic acid.
The more common ingredient you should avoid frequent or excessive use of during pregnancy is Salicylic Acid, which is also known as willow bark extract.Β
There are a few other items as well that you should avoid while pregnant, which include any Retinols, Vitamin A products, and tretinoin.Β
Now you may be wondering what products can I use for my skin? I will list those now! There are many products that you can still use when you are pregnant and treatments that you can get. Yes, even some of our chemical peels are pregnancy-safe. (Just make sure to check with your doctor.)Β
