Top 3 Makeup Must-Haves

As a makeup artist I get asked very frequently what my favorite products are; today I will be telling you all about my top 3 favorite products.

Whether you are a makeup master or a newbie to the makeup crowd these products are PERFECT for you.

  1. Cream Highlight & Contour

    • Yes, technically my number #1 favorite product is two products, but stay with me. One of the products works as your concealer & foundation and the other one is for contouring the face. One of the main reasons I like this product is because you apply it one layer so there is no layering needed. These products are cream based colors that offer a “second-skin” appearance for a sheer coverage or even a buildable full coverage look. This cream foundation gives you flexibility to cover what you want without appearing cakey, dull or heavy like some foundations can give.

    • The second reason I love these products is because they are formulated to work with the camera. That means hello, good selfies that look like a filter with no filter needed! You can also wear this makeup for your big day, event or weddings you have to attend and you won’t have to worry about the camera flash making you look ghostly.

    • My favorite brand to get these two products is from Seint Beauty. These products are formulated with liquid paraffin, beeswax, ozokerite wax and other ingredients to create a foundation that is non-oily, doesn’t settle into the skin and leaves you looking flawless. You can actually get your hands on these beauties through me! Color matching is always FREE. <3

  2. Liquid Lipstick

    • My personal favorite brand is the Enduring Lip Colors from Limelife by Alcone.

    • This is a MUST HAVE product in your life. I absolutely love how soft and smooth this liquid lipstick applies. It also has long-lasting wear for a gorgeous lip color all day. One big thing I like about this lipstick is, as it does fade it doesn’t get clumpy, dry or crack when it wears away.

    • The formulation of this liquid lipstick is it goes on liquid drys to a velvety matte finish. It also has the ability to be mixed with different colors to create a variety of color combinations.

  3. Eyeshadow Primer

    • For my professional kit and everyday life an eyeshadow primer is a MUST! Not only does it help hydrate your eyelids (if you are dry), but it also helps prep the eyelids for your eyeshadow. When you use a primer your colors are their true (or close to true) vibrancy they were created to be AND it also lets the colors last longer.

    • My favorite eyeshadow primer is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Primer. The formulation of this primer is cream so it applies smoothly for a perfect neutral base that doesn’t dry out the lids and appear cakey. It is also water-resistant and long lasting so your looks will appear fresh all night.

    • As an added bonus it is also cruelty-free, vegan, paraben-free and gluten-free.

    • *HACK*Instead of a primer you must use a cream highlight or contour then set with a setting powder. That is always an option as well. Makeup has many different ways to use it which is why I can’t limit my favorites just down to 3!

Of course I have many other favorite products in my kit and personal makeup drawer, but these are three must haves.
