What is a Hybrid Cleanser?
A Hybrid cleanser is multifunctional in its usage and benefits. As an expample, Confidently Clean can be applied to dry skin before water is added, the viscosity was formulated to be the consistency of an oil cleanser but specifically balanced for acne prone skin types. Be sure to advise clients to dispense one pump directly into palm before application.
Applying the product to dry skin & massaging it in before adding water is in essence, a double cleanse. While we know double cleansing is a popular trend and certain brands promote it, we have a differing opinion as the micorbiome is altered each time a cleanser is used. The more aggressive the cleanser, the more disruption to the health of the microbiome. We suggest a cleanser formulated correctly to effectively cleanse the skin in a gentle manner.
